What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I may go ahead and get an NP231 yoke, and just get a regular stock driveshaft, and shorten it.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Thats pretty much your only way to go with that much lift. Well with any lift higher than 3 inches on that set up.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Does the yoke have to be modified? I can shorten a driveshaft myself.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Sold the 8.25 to Ed "Crusher" this morning. Also put $546.00 into the Jeep account that will go towards getting my gears installed... Lockers should be here sometime this week they will ship out this today from Washington state. Gears should be here for the D44 this week also...

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I changed the oil, flushed the cooling system and put in fresh antifreeze, bought and installed a radiator overflow cap, filled the windshield washer, and bought and installed a cap for that tank, cleaned all the windows, replaced the broken passenger taillight, and a few other things on my new to me XJ. Tomorrow I still have to decide what I want to do on the flare/fender trimming issue, and adjust the trac bar (was going to do that tonight but it got dark too fast).

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

D44 gears, open carrier, and master install kit arrived today... Thanks Eric from National Drivetrain....
