What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Naw dude. I thought about it; didn't like it. Guy was too pushy trying to sell it to me too, so that didn't help. Patience is of the essence.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Went mudding, and covered my rig

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Replaced wheel u-joint katy broke on Chinaman gulch and bolted on a Cherry bomb turbo muffler/turndown.

Pulled the ATVs out so your Treasurer could ride, towed the bikes with the XJ to start them.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I checked my tire pressure and gave all 4 corners some psi. That's about it.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Yeah its hard to believe that they just won't respond. If need be I will PM them for you Sparty, but I have never heard of anyone having as many problems as you are having.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Oh yeah, last night I finally got my Full Sized spare mounted up, and just for grins I decided to weigh it. Each one of my 36's with wheel and center cap weighs in right at 88lbs.

Do you have a garage/shop to work on it? I'm done in Moore myself and there are a couple more of us on the forums from the OKC area. I would be down for a wrench day, though my schedule is very, very packed.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Well due to the fact RE no longer makes their hack-n-tap kit for the pre-96 XJs, thanks RE for letting your venders know, I have been forced to look else where.

So after 6 days of searching and researching (I am now on search overload), I am going to make my own hack-n-tap. I know Iron Rock Offroad still has their kit but I can make me own cheaper and I can improve on it. I have found someone that makes a SYE "tailshaft" that lets you increase your spilne lenght and accepts stock tailcone seals.

Yes I will be doing a full write up on it for the NP 207 TC, there seems to be a lack of info for hack-n-taps done i=on the 207.

And NO, I do not want to swap a 231 in my XJ.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

no i don't actually have one and the jeep is in Marietta about 1 1/2 hours south of the city and my neighbor might let me use his shop. But i could pull the parts from my other xj and haul it up to the city if someone has a shop or place to do it in the city. and my schedule is open all through december.

Dang, I didn't think they made 2wd sports
Nice buy, I'd have done it. Thats not a bad idea maybe my next XJ will be a 2wd I'll convert.

I weighed one of mine a ways back. 36x12.50 TSL/SX on 15x10 Aluminum beadlock. 105 lbs!

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

HAHA.... wow, I guess mine being narrower really does save some weight. My wheels are aluminum too, but I am about to go to some steel beadlocks. I bet that will more than make up the difference.
