I finished my SYE, drive lines, tranny mount, and posi-lock install.
God what a difference!!! I love it

no luck on the d44 for ya-but ill keep my eyes out. Im more interested to learn how to setup gears than anything else-id probably buy you a d44 for that ha!

I was in the local JY today and saw 3 cherokees wit D44 under em. I thought bout pullin them and sellin them all off. They wanted around $120 complete drum to drum. Any interest? or shall I pass on gettin them?:eeks1:

i know x2elite is lookin for a d44. he may be interested in one.

on a diff note i may have got another xj today. for the wife but may become my dd til we can get to build it.

its a 91 2dr sport, white, 231(i think), 4.0, 5 speed. all i know so far. will be snaggin it for 750. needs a back side glass and radio.

I tore my back hatch in half wheeling and then got stuck and unloaded a clip into it. !!!1!!!1 just put it out of its misery!

ya but they are aplenty. shipping all depends on who you go through. iv shipped 300 lbs to texas for $60 before. all depends on how badly someone wants a drop in D44 i guess...

lol im already plannin a 3" lift, 32"-33", skids, bumpers, tire carrier, rock rails, auto swap with a tcu control box (she dont like the 5 speed idea but for the price i want it)

im sure there will be more but this is a start. i have most of a 3" lift for it.

the guy said all it need was the window and radio. said it runs and drives great

starter button went out Friday, hotwired it to get to autozone and got a new button. Starting this morning i heard an odd sound during cranking when starting the jeep, stopped at kroger after going through some bumpy trails getting to and from a fishing spot, got back to the jeep, and i could hear the bendix on the starter spinning but it wasn't hitting the flywheel. just free spinning. crawled underneath, and my starter is missing one bolt and the other one is about 1 1/2" backed out. held the starter to the bellhouse while my buddy started the jeep, ran to autozone AGAIN and picked up some universal start bolts. Thank God, it was actually the correct one! Now i've god a weird clicking sound happening when turning left, even at slow speeds. And it's always the same tempo, no matter what speed I'm at, but doesn't happen when stopped and turning the wheel. Any ideas? Power Steering pump is full, can't see any of the hydraulic hoses leaking, and didn't notice anything cracked while i was under there.

That used to happen with the XJ I used to have!!! Never figured out what it was.

Clicking or clunking??

I had something similar going on a month or so ago, ended up being my exhaust knocking into the big u joint knuckle on the front end, as well as my exhaust vibrating onto my cross member.

its definitely a clicking. and happens at the same rate no matter what speed im going, and is only on left turns.

well, clicking is gone. I'm almost wondering if it happened when the starter was loose. maybe it was falling to the left during left turns and hitting the flywheel. Oh well, I won't worry about it til it happens again!
