I was wondering what spare parts you guys carry with you on the trail. I know to bring spare Ujoints, coil, radiator hoses, and energency fan belt. What else should I carry? I know some people carry spare Crank position Sensors(CPS) and Throttle Position Sensors(TPS) aswell as some other bir item spares like alternators, axle shafts, and tie rods. What would be a good list?

In my rig on daily driving I carry spare axle shafts fronts and rears, ujoints all of them, various sizes of vaccume hoses, electrical wiring, and other misc. stuff. On the trail I carry all that plus drive shafts, spider gears for D30, radiator hose, belt, tire (no I don't usually carry my spare tire around town), starter, that is all I can think of right now. I will add more if I think of it. everytime I go wheeling I find another spare part to carry, I now have three XJ's so I got lots of spares. DIG IT!

I used to carry all 4 axle shafts, sometimes more if I could find them in the junkyard, stock front driveshaft, 1 hub, stock control arms. That was about it other than misc. electrical crap and tools. I have replace all of the above parts on the trail. One time I took out both upper control arms and the front driveshaft. Had all parts to fix. Only time I didn't make it home under my own power was a broken rear driveshaft that took out the t-case. You can only carry so many spare parts.

Bah!!!

To hell with spare axle ujoints, too cold to change 'em when you need to.
I bring a spare set of 760x front shafts.
Driveshaft ujoints, fluids for me and the rig, serp belt, and the tools no one else usually has.
:D

Don't forget the socket for the front axles. I'm shocked by the number of guys I've seen on the trail who carry spare u-joints or shafts and have no way to get them out of the vehicle to change them.
