I need to revive this thread for a moment: trying to adjust my door hinges and the Torx tools I have are all too "tall" for the outer two Torx screws in the hinge. I wonder if anyone has a tip on where to get a short Torx bit that will work? I'm willing to take a Torx bit with a hex shaft (instead of 3/8" drive) and use a box end wrench to hold it if that's the best solution, but it seems a bit... crude.
If you're willing to go that route, Pep Boys has Torx set that's hex shaft. You can cut it down to whatever length you want and throw a box end wrench around it. Works great too when you're doing your oil filter adapter and a regular T60 doesn't fit b/w the bolt and the "frame" of the Jeep. Just don't put a gearwrench on it if it's really tight. I made that mistake on the OFA and turned a brand new, pretty, ratcheting gearwrench in to a brand new, pretty, ratcheting Z-shaped gearwrench
