I cant see that there would be a hell of alot of difference though the years. I just want to know what the stocker weighs so I can compare it.

Curb weight 2wd = 2,891 lbs - 2,993 lbs

I guess for VA vehicle regulations that isn't going to give you enough weight to meet the criteria to be looked at as a truck to allow a few more inches of bumper height...

well after the bumpers / sliders / skids / 33s etc... it should be a bit more.

My 87 2dr. 4X4 pegs out at the local truck scale at just under 3000 LBS. (2980 or so)
Of course mine is a government fleet model so it doesn't have all the weight adding goodies......

Full skid plates, bumpers, winch, etc can easily add 1000 lbs - what's the VA truck weight standard? Also, if the test is just a drive-up weighing including contents, you can add 500 easily in tools and spare parts.
Several years ago on Pirate 4x4 there was a thread about total weight on the trail, including tools and spare parts and passengers, and many of the well-built XJs topped 5000 lbs.
