What I need to get done before Winterfest

cats are intact muffler on the other hand sounds like an dieing elephant falling on top of a moose

Buy a new Jeep, do stuff to it, and show up. This one is getting kind of stale. At this rate I'll have had 3 different ones at 4 different Winterfests.

That's the goal at least... still haven't unloaded my junk from Redbird so I guess technically I'm ready to go, months in advance (for once).

No luck so far, I am either getting cheap or picky in my increasing age and I haven't bought anything else yet. Plenty of time to buy an XJ and build it before WF right? I might have to ask the banana ZJ to hold up for one more trip. Unless I steal the front D30 for the DD, in which case I'm just taking a step backwards. Whoops.

I know of a decent deal for you.

rocker protection (sliders) should be very high on the list of things to do, IMO.

Ordered stiffeners today. Tax check should be in next Thursday or Friday(e-filed tonight) soon as I get it I will be ordering sliders and t-case skid and be on the prowl for a 8.8........... :-)

Put all my body panels back on this morning, jeep is pretty much ready, gonna go do some recon on a new spot in a little while, got a customer I have been dealing with for 5 years now that has a farm about 15 minutes from my house, says he has alot of trails with waterfalls that I can run whenever I want, gonna go and scope them out on foot today and see if it is worth hauling the buggy over to or not

made the bits for my rear shock towers this weekend. Yes, the MJ will have rear shocks!

Hope to get that finished up this week so I can get shockes ordered, then it's on to rockers and bellypan.

The list got a little shorter. Got a new Jeep and the next steps start as soon as I can get parts in.

- re-seal the T-case (fully understanding the grumblings about TnT's one-piece crossmember now)
- buy and install rock sliders
- buy and install a new rear bumper that will tie into the uniframe and pass tech
- swap my D30 Aussie
- buy and install an 8.25 Aussie/Lockright
- V8 ZJ steering (should have an extra around here somewhere)
- load the camper into the truck again without breaking it or injuring myself

Pretty thrilled to have a rig in decent shape again... hopefully I can keep it that way for a while.

Less than 6 weeks to go, for those who are counting...
