What did you get for Christmas?

Some Dough, a giftcard, a few shirts, plenty to eat and saw family and friends. Also met a fillipino exchange student who got to spend christmas with our family on dad's side. He was very appreciative and happy to be in the states, he is hoping to go to college here. Didn't get that blonde I had on my wishlist though! :D

I got a Big Buddy heater for some garage warmth, a bunch of camping related gear, a set of wireless headphones so that I can watch some late night TV without waking the baby, and some cash that I am gonna use to order a Scangauge for the Jeep.

I also got myself a set of street tires to mount on my factory rims a week or so ago.

Some cash, couple of Dick's sporting goods gift cards, clothes, and found out my grand father has up to 6 months or less to live...so it wasn't that great of a Christmas. On the lighter side I still had another Christmas with all of my family. That's the most important part.

Detroit locker for the D-30 in the trail rig, Weather Tech floor mats for my Commander, a new iPod and about $60 worth of iTunes gift cards.

I forgot to add; A new wallet w/$150 cash in it!

But most importantly, time with my family. My brother and oldest son both came in from NOVA and it was great to spend time with both of them:cheers:

I forgot to identify the cause of the "big-arsed bills" that I got-- two of these for the missus and the kid:

Shorty, I had two horses growing up, they are not cheap to own! I hope you are just collecting tack because those hay-burners will eat you out of house and home:laugh:

Sometimes its just nice having family around. I love watching the kids open presents. What gets me every year is the first things the kids want to do is give the presents to us and their siblings frist before they open their own. I love to watch that.

I got my beadlocks.

we're currently "leasing" a horse (never knew you could do that) with an "option to buy."

I haven't been able to make enough room in the garage for him yet:scared:, so he resides down in Chesapeake and we go see him each afternoon for a couple hours. I'd like to find some land and a decent barn somewhere out your way, but it's probably gonna be a couple years at this rate.

I got a phone call from my Dad at 8:30 pm telling me my Grandma died. Merry Christmas!

On the flip side, I had 2 really happy little girls (2 and 4) after Santa left, so they helped keep the day from being a really shitty one.

That sucks cotton. Makes you realize that all this crap we get for Christmas really doesn't matter. Its all about spending time with friends and family and creating memories.

Played Santa for the neighbors grandchildren (the one that built the office in my shop and wouldn't take a dime for it).

Went to Jamestown to see my Grandparents and my Grandfather who just had a hip replacement. He was getting around great.

Spent time with family and enjoyed every minute.

I didn't get anything for the XJ. Got some model train stuff I had been wanting.

HO scale. I'm basing it on the Western Forest Products Englewood Logging Division logging railroad on Vancouver Island, BC. I'm mixing in some CP and BC Rail stuff too (I like Alcos/MLW's).

Craftsman professional combo (drill saw light), 45" 9 drawer craftsman toolchest (upper box), clothes, slippers, sanuks, Bulova and some other stuff. My new wife and I spoiled the hell out of each other. And this week my jeep should be getting an HP30 for it...

Sorry for your loss, my bday is Xmas and I got a call when I was 20 my grandfather passed on my bday. Hard to deal with to say the least...

I'm sorry to hear that, Dirk. Grandparents hold special places in the heart. Should you need anything, you know where I am.

Well we made the 1700 mile drive with no problems. It's pretty darn nice here in Phoenix though.

Got a nice pair of self adjusting wire strippers from the wife along with a pimp looking geode with lots of neat stuff inside.

Also got $500 from the wifes grandparents that will all go towards debt.

Got a couple of gift cards and a little cash from my family.

How long did it take to drive the 1700 miles? Just curious...
