Finally cleaned it out. Just about filled my trashcan.
On a side note.....I really need to figure out how to stop the pass side from filling with water

Did the HCV delete today because I was tired of not having heat and in doing so I also fixed a few vacuum issues! I'm sure there are more vacuum issues based on every renix engine I have looked at but I have heat now, so I'll deal with those later.

I haven't taken it out for a drive yet but it warmed up quick inside the cab sitting under my carport. I think my engine temps went up faster than normal too... but I don't usually let it idle for 10 minutes or so. You live in Salem right? I got 2 of the brass fittings and only need one. Once I sorted out the vacuum stuff it was about a 5 minute job. You're welcome to swing on by, I got everything needed to do it again.

Replaced my head light switch to stop it from blowing the parking lamp fuse every time I turn on the dome light.

That was a huge pain. Luckily nothing looked melted in there. The spring on my original one had just popped loose and was grounding out whenever the knob was rotated.

Damn, I wouldnt be happy if my diy kit showed up rusty. I just bought the mojave diy from them not too long ago.

Yeah, not happy about the rust either but it will wire wheel off easy enough. It's not as bad as it looks. It did have a hole in the box and the mounting hardware is missing. Waiting to hear back from DB on that. This one is the mojave rear. My front mojave is tacked together at the moment.

Not what I did but what I bought. Got a putco light harness and a lightbar for the jeep. Pile of parts just keep growing lol

Finally got a day to work on the XJ. Despite the 39 degrees outside it was great to work on the build. Agenda or the day - Weld the front bumper up. it was just tacked together.

Set up the trustworthy Miller 211 for 110v on .030 solid wire and Argon/CO2 gas. Quickly found the duty cycle limit, about 1-1/4" bead. After three trips on the 15amp circuit it was pulling from, it was time to upgrade the welders supply power. A trip down to Lowes and $115 later I had enough supplies to upgrade my air compressor circuit from 240v 20amps to 30 amps and build a 30' extension cord. Air compressor circuit doubles with the welder but not at the same time of course.

Now were welding...

...and I run out of wire. Burnt through 2lbs on wire real quick. Put everything away and picked up a 10lb spool. Got too late to do any more welding so I called it a day.

Here's a picture because people like pictures. Been a long time since I've done any serious welding. Cut me a break until I can get my groove on again.

Funny, just noticed the free spool of wire that came with my Miller welder is Hobart branded. Made in China. Spool of Harbor Freight wire I picked up today is made in Italy.

You will love having 240 on that welder.
