What did you do to your XJ today

i need to do this and lizard skin my floors one of these days.

Woohoo!!! Swapped out the pick up coil, didn't replace the distributor because there was no play in the shaft or anything. And it's WORKING!!!! Stupid damn electronic part lol I love my jeep but next one will be a 90' or 91' lol something that's more mechanical than electrical

Ordered some junk for Phase2.0.

 for RuffStuff.

Stared at it a bit.

Walked around it a few times, while staring at it.

Decided to pull the drivers front tire/wheel off. Apparently while hosing off the 27lbs of Elbe mud, a few good chunks became wedged in the caliper. Easy fix.

Guess it's ready to go find some snow!

I didn't do anything to it, but got something for it!

Sweet baby jebus!!!!! It's fixed!!! I hope..... Lol turned out that the CPS, ignition coil, pick up coil, and distributor were not the cause but this..

Second pic I'm sure the wires were frayed or broke but what looks to be the cause is the first pic, that's the wires leading to the connector for the ignition coil, they some how split open(heat/age) and were shorting out. Thank god my jeep is 97' because the turner yard usually only has early models so my moms bf and I went there looking to see the harness and find that section. Found one and cut it off. Came back and spliced the new ish connector in and viola!! It works!! But time will tell if this electrical crap is finally fix... For now lol

all is well Zach?
Oh yeah very much so having locked front and rear make the jeep work alot different. everyone told me that driving welded front would cause issues with turning and 35s. well when the hubs are locked she does hop on tight corners but honestly not to bad I dont like it so much on the trail running aspect kinda feels funny. do to the pitman arm length and change of distance to the knuckle the steering actually is easier than the dana 30 not locked on 35s. (I know weird)

track bar needs new bolts and have to fab a steering brace and track bar brace. plus a t-case skid and rear pinon sheild. maybe some shackle relocation brackets

Well we finally bought and paid for our new pos tonight. Drove it about a mile to my wife's uncles house and parked it. Im really digging 2.5"s of lift on 33s! No pics yet but it steers great, engine sounds good mechanically but something is wrong with the timing or vacuum because it pops and only revs to about 3500 rpms (according to the tach). So whenever she shows up at the house Ill start troubleshooting... In the mean time the starter went out on my 98 so now I have two jeeps to fix...

We put $150 worth of gas into it for tomorrow's testing!
And camera mount to watch the Clayton suspension in action.
