Probably the most common "First time trail fix" Bending the factory tie rod back into a usable shape..

Pick up a V8 ZJ tie rod and You're fixed.

You'll have to keep us posted on how those federal couragia mud terrains work out for you.
Thats the first time I've seen them on a Jeep.

I will! I actually work for Les Schwab here in Roseburg, and we haven't sold many yet, so I wanted to test them out! I was impressed with how well they ride on the road. Also was surprised how quiet they were, I was expecting them to be very noisy, considering how open they are!

Yea! I Figure those things would HOWL!

I'm beginning to hate my front end.....

As I was driving it home from work this afternoon, I heard my front axle have a temper tantrum, then watched as it ejected a cap from the drivers side U-joint, seeing it bounce down the freeway behind me at speed. GOOD TIMES!
I swear this frickin front end is cursed......UGH!

Yea something doesn't look right.....

Limped it the last couple miles home, go to swap in the spare I had and on the short shaft side......

And the caps just press right in by hand......that ain't right!!!.....

Upgrade to Full circle clips, And Then tack weld each cap.

I've been down this road.. I lost 3 sets of shafts in 4 days.. I still Destroyed Shafts after Full circle clips and Tack welds.. but they lasted longer and it took More abuse..

Now that i have alloys, I just destroy the Ring gear.. Pick your poison.. I personally have no problem doing Gears and Install for $400 once a year, over Shafts everytime i wheel.

:looser:

Yea alloys, are next on the list.
Good advice Scott, I WAS about ready to just weld this one in.
