What did you do to your XJ today

Needs some mechanical isolation on the mounting AND there's probably a resonant frequency vibration issue at the mounting. Anything un/improperly attached?

Was looking a the buckets last night, everything seems to be solid.
Spring is there.
The bucket is sitting in the groove of both adjustment screws.
The metal retaining surround thingy, is nice and tight.
The connector plug fits securely on the back of the lamps.

_i'm out of ideas.... In the last year i've had to swap out bulbs in one side or the other at least 4 times...

The one idea I have is: that because the housings are plastic and not glass, there's less heat sinking, and the ambient temperature surrounding the bulb is higher than what it should be, thus diminishing the life span of the bulb.
I AM installing them right, -licking then rubbing the bulb in my armpit before dipping it in gear oil as i secure it in the housing..... (i'm kidding of course)

Check the light switch. Pull it and check the connectors for ware. My headlamps were slowly blinking and turning off. I checked the switch and the center terminal was fried. Replaced the switch and it stopped.

I rebuilt/reconditioned it a while back. Even did a full write-up on it that got stickied in the FAQ/Writeup section:

I'm sure its not the switch, but that doesn't mean its not a voltage issue.
I DO have an upgraded harness, so I know they're getting good voltage, but that's not to say they're not getting a spike now and again. My voltage gauge however never reads above 14v. In fact its almost always about 13v..... I may have an alternator issue..... I could sworn those things are supposed to put out 14.4.... looks like I'll be diggin gout the DMM tonight when I get home.

My driver's side seat frame cracked and gave loose at the adjustment bracket last night! Now my seat sways all over the place as the weight shifts driving or turning corners - probably not too safe. . . ...found power ZJ seats (black leather, even!) at the salvage yard this morning -but the prices are a bit absurd up here in Canada - 250 bucks for both seats. Thoughts? I don't have power adjustable now, so I think I'll just get the ZJ frames minus the power gear. Makes it easier to swap, from what I've read. Maybe I can talk the price down without the power motors. Anyways.. ..pretty great that they're black leather, should work with my black tan interior. Current seats are tan vinyl.

Yea, that must be a fun ride!
-i'd just weld it. If you dont have a welder you could prob pay a guy at an exhaust shop $20 to do it for ya.,

Kndrewa, If you go with the ZJ seats, Please take notes of your install.. I've been told ZJ seats pretty much bolt right in to a Late model. One less thing for sale in the Future ZJ Part out:rtm:

Super easy bolt in. Lost some of the ZJ seat functionality, though, because my seat rails were manual and the ZJ seats are powered.
