Rear hatch has been stuck closed since NWFest...

...Went to the Yard and grabbed a new handle assembly from a ZJ.

Turns out, I mangled that ZJ handle a bit getting it out.
And by a bit, I mean "beyond use"

My original hatch handle's inner rocker arm had broke off.
So I got "creative" and drilled a tiny hole and used the head of a screw in place of the plastic arm to actuate the hatch latch!

Got my Tom Woods rear c.v. shaft and threw it under the Jeep.
Hoping it solves my vibration issue.

are you planning to install it? I mean why throw a perfectly good NEW cv shaft?

look what pulled into my garage tonight... 2001 TJ Sahara... it is getting a 3" budget boost installed, JK rubicon shocks, t case drop and 33 x 12.50 x 15 with crawler wheels (that comes in a week or 2, already on 31 x 10.50s)

if the Canadian goes to moab, ill go. i miss that guy. i dont miss anyone in moab.

and lots of ppl go to moab open open. why would i drive 2,500 miles to go to a place where open/open or locked buggy makes no difference..

the last couple days ive been working on my half doors where's what i got so far...

The welder ran out of gas so i have to get that on monday and try to finish them up before school starts so i dont have to worry about falling behind

a buddy and i took friday off work to go wheeling at tahuya park.

had lots of fun. there were lots of people there coming and going. even saw some one tow a stock xj in on a trailer to wheel there lol. this was kinda funny we thought. the tow rig looked to be more capable then the towed

and you thought naches was dusty. well there is a jeep in the next pict. can you spot it?

all in all i had a good time. lots of dust and am glad to be back in my own bed. i think im going to get a 5th wheel trailer and build a camper/bed area on teh part that goes over the bed so i dont have to sleep on the ground lol.
