What did you do to your XJ today

Put on new motor mounts, new transmission mount, and changed the transfer case fluid. No more clunks or vibrations yay!

Anyone who's been wheeling with me as seen me retighten my lca body mount bolts at the end of the day. Well, I fixed that today. I welded on some washers to the mount so I they won't loosen and slide around anymore. Yay me.

Dropped my winch off at Warn.

While re-spooling my cable it had a very slow line speed, and was pulling a ton of amps. Crossing my fingers the motors not toast. Of course with my luck I'm two months past the warranty period on the electrical. :thumbdn:

Re-configured my OBA airtank mounts. YES I used plumbers tabe to secure it again. But better this time, I can actually pull the jeep backwards in neutral by the handle. I secured it to the back of the rear seat and again to the side wall. Then the top ratchet strap holds my subs against the backseat and also presses against the tank a little.

Sorry to inform you that's not plumbers tape Aaron that's a water heater strapping, plumbers tape is teflon and wouldn't hold anything at all except hold water out when applied properly. :gag:

Yeah I was already trying to get him to trade me tanks this weekend, looks like he decided he isn't going to swap tanks with me lol That's ok though not sure if I really want that big of a tank anyways.

Put the new power steering box on. Fixed half of my problem. Dry steering is fine aired up but still super hard to turn aired down to 10psi on the pavement. Im done with it now. I have changed both the box and pump two times in the last month. I am officially ready for hydro steering.

Specs on the vehicle? I has a similar issue when I upgraded and went to 1/2 ton stuff up front and discs in the rear. I ended up needing a master cylinder with a larger bore.
