What did you do to your XJ today

Is you're Drag-link bent.. or is this just a bad angle..?

Got home today from traveling... Looked at the front of the jeep and got pissed off, since the damage is still not fixed:smsoap:

Then I figured since its been awhile since I did some preventative maintainance, I should go thru and check all the nuts and bolts... found that my steering was STUPID loose. Torqued everything down and all better.

Dramatically increased the on and off road performance of the rig today.
Removed all badging and the plastic trim from the doors. Should increase fuel mileage by at least .0025%. Yessssssss!

I did the same thing and actually noticed a .0045% increase in mileage. But I have a country model so I had extra sh*t to remove.

Six-point deep socket with an extension bar. If you take any pictures be sure to include a bucket ...

Damn, I should have read this FIRST. I used a deep socket, extension and flex joint and other than the antifreeze I dumped all over the driveway :tear: it wasn't too bad. I think I got it bleed pretty well. My driveway is sloped and there is a bonus bump into the street, so I turned the truck around and put the a** up the drive.

Also got the new speed-o-meter cable on. What a PITA that was. :eeks1: It didn't help that the Doorman replacement was about 18" too long. At least I have a speedometer now.

So that's most of the maint. shit, other than the rear drain and fill and auto-tranny filter & drain and fill. Hopefully this thing passes DEQ next week and I can make it legal like.

Sold it to my son. He needed something to drive my granddaughter around in. Now the question is what do I do with the D44 Waggy running gear I have?:dunno:

Obviously you're going to put them in the next cherokee you buy. :)
