What did you do to your XJ today

That looks nice FiveNdime.

Today I got my rubber floors, and seats back into the jeep. Then I had to chase a starting issue. I ended up putting in a new 4gauge main ground wire. Replaced the starter solenoid, starter, new terminals on the battery cables, and put my good battery back in. She starts up first try now... :sunshine:
Oh yea, I set the timing, and carb today as well.

I'm getting closer to bringing out the sawzall :greensmok

Put a new O2 sensor in and found a nice crack in the exhaust manifold. Now what to get? I am thinking JBA or edelbrock.

Umm. . . dislodged my panhard bar. . . .

But it was after a couple long funfilled days of this. . . :D

Gives me an excuse to finally replace my fubar'd tie rod at the same time.

I need to go to the store and get new nylock bolts and some red locktite and finish the job by doing a final torque job.

Thats what i should be doing for my steering but it's already on jack stands right now so i dont really need to worry about any bolts flying off haha

but it looks great joey

Installed my SYE kit and CV drive line today as well as move the cross member up. Also greased all the zerks and adjusted the E-brake. Raising the cross member was a pain in my :moon:

Stripped out the garage and re-organized so I can actually get to the Jeep parts.

I have 4 weeks to get something done before school starts again

put the steering stabilizer back on so i can road it to the emissions place without the death wobble...:repair:

pulled my rear rotor off and celebrated because I don't have to replace the bearing on the pass side axle shaf. I had a hunk of scrap metal that was making all the odd noises. shaft and rotor are fine.

Rewired the aux reverse lights after they shorted them selves on and tried to light everything under the hood on fire. Discovered I once again had a failed zip tie. Tossed all I had and bought more and replaced all the old ones under the hood.

I started the day with a pile of parts, and ended the day with the same pile of parts. :dunno:

What's got you stuck?

I have a spacing issue somewhere. The rubi retainer plate isn't seating all the way. Instead of sitting flush with the caliper bracket, the center bows outward. I'm thinking it's because I didn't include the dust shield. That extra bit of thickness is needed.

I did make some progress though. I got all the brackets clearanced to fit, and the retainers re-drilled to the correct bolt pattern. Also, tracked down some soft hoses with the correct threads to use.

I seem to recall having an issue like that with one raised point on the brackets, I just had to dremel it off.
