What did you do to your XJ today

If all goes well (and fast) I am ! Dropped it off this afternoon with a guy to install gears. He says he should be able to do it in time. Its side work for him, but he knows my deadline.... D30 ring n pinion shouldnt be to hard to track down. Just hoping the carrier is still good.

:wow:

Time to start building a waggy front.

O

I think its been broken since at least December... just didnt know because i havn't used 4WD since then. And yes they were a matched set, installed by six states 4 years ago.

4 years of hard wheeling is pretty good Rod at least it didnt take out the locker. I know where you can get F150 and F350 axles it you are thinking about upgrading.

Got some more work done to the bumper today, also will be putting on some support bars on the outsides of the stinger.

So is the lower bumper going away and you are using the top bumper with the stinger? Or are the 2 being tied together?

The two are being tied together and then when I can get a winch going to incase it inside the bumper.

its definitely unique! my only worry would be the approach angle being severely compromised.

Bought and installed a new CB.
Cobra 75 WXST, with weather radio, dual watch, 4 channel presets and instant ch 9/19. All the controls are in the handset so only a small junction box needs to be mounted, which I put under the dash so it isn't in the way.

The speaker in the handset is pretty weak so I also picked up a Valco Big Mouth extension speaker that plugs into the junction box but is volume controlled by the handset. Big improvement on sound and the signal is very strong considering the antenna has never been tuned.

Unique is what I like, don't want to have a stamp out bumper lol. The bottom half of it is what I got from Arron and that is the way it came to me, I added the square tubing and the stinger on it. I have been looking at the bottom part thinking about trimming it and changing it up to help the approach angle, it's all going to come down to how it looks when I mount it up though.

Lol Now your a funny guy man, I told you that you were going to want it back and I'm not even close to being done changing it around lol.

Ok so got it almost done today. Still thinking about putting some angle on the bottom corners of the bumper.

Here is what the bumper looked like the day I got it.

And now here is where it is at now, everything is tacked on and going to start welding it up. Like I said might be cutting and putting a angle on the bottom corners of the bumper.

Yeah I have them marked up to change that part. After putting it up on the jeep decided some of it needed to come off. After I get what I have marked out cut off I will post some pics.
As you can see in the first pic that is how that part of the bumper came to me and I have been adding and cutting at it sense I got it lol

Got the WJ steering pump installed just need to get the belt back in and the system bled.
