Bought it this morning...
Think it's an 8.8 from an F-150...
pattern is 5 x 5.5...WMS is about 64"...ratio is 4.10... turning by hand, both drums turn same direction-limited slip? Perches over axle...
only numbers are cast on housing "10" "2127" "FOTW-4025-AA"
Bought it sight unseen hoping it would've been an explorer axle, but it's a bit wider and diff bolt pattern...
option 1) Might as well leave it as is and go full width and find a front HP44 with same pattern (what's a good donor?)
option 2) aftermarket shafts at 5 x 4.5 which means running a wider rear against a turd
option 3) narrow
Options 2 & 3 are more for amusement than anything else, the axle will eventually turn 35's/37's on 4.88's so I guess I found an excuse to build a front 44
p.s. the ghetto blocks and leaf packs will be donated to the MWC boneyard
