Try adding a smidgen more tongue weight.
I tow with my '11 Ecoboost f150, max tow package and 3.73's. It tows quite well. I'm thinking of getting an anti sway kit on the trailer though because it does sway side to side a bit on the highway...

Its a M185A3, supposed to be heavier then the 109 but I can't figure out where that extra weight is but its a baby compared to the M925A2 I just got, almost twice the size and easier to drive (power steering). M54 is the 5ton with the Multifuel right?
I wish, got plenty of water but really short supply on the others

Yeah, the M54 had a gasser in it iirc and I forget what the M54A1 had but the M54A2 has the multifuel. I like the torque off the line but 5mpg, max speed of 50mph or so, and bogging on any hill at >40mph is getting old so I am probably going to find a new motor for it. Unsure what, either a 6bt, 6cta8.3, cat v8 diesel I may be able to get dirt cheap, or anything else with a redline over 2500 that I can pick up cheap.
The 800a3 and 900a3 series are nice as hell with the cummins 6cta8.3, the a2 you got is an nhc250 truck right? I like the 250s torque but damn do they seem underpowered for an 855 cube engine. A buddy of mine in CO's girlfriend just picked up a 923a3 so she can go wheeling with him in his volvo euro mil truck and that thing is sweet as hell.

Its the A2 that has the 6cta, it hauls ass compared to the deuce. Might turn up the fuel a bit to give a bit more go. If I keep the deuce as my tow rig I might look around for a 6bt to put in but the multi only has 6000miles on it so it'd seem like a waste.

ahhh, I wasn't sure. I am considering the 6bt mostly because they are much cheaper than a 6cta and also because you can tune em up to have decent power/torque... and they have a 3k redline, which I would really like, would help me actually maintain highway speeds instead of chugging along at 52 max.
I've yet to tow my Jeep with the "tow rig " in over two years ,but I have strapped the tow rig with the XJ to pull it off the hill when stuck saving the "tow rig" from going back down a 13% grade in the snow . This year the XJ should see the trailer lets just hope all the burn outs have left a transmission that will tow the XJ...lol...been through 6 sets of rear tires in Two years , and even I don't know why burning a set of tires down is so much fun ?

Just pull it forward a little more? I think shortly after this photo was taken I did unstrap and pull it forward a bit. It seemed to help a bit but still gets a little squirrely from time to time.

This is probably the best way, but not the cheapest. Of course once you get it dialed in, you could sell it or maybe split the cost with your buddies:

The trick with a bathroom scale and mechanical advantage works too, but is probably a little harder to get accurate in my opinion:

I haven't measured mine though, just trial and error over the years. The last time I had issues was with my Tahoe, but moving the Jeep forward helped a ton:
I was really happy with the trailer set up like that, and that's pretty much how I load everything now. But, it made the steering really light in the Tahoe. A set of air bags in the back fixed that. A weight distributing hitch would have been another good solution.

I'm about to start towing with my grandpa's 2009 Dodge 1500 with the 5.7. Has the towing package and 4.10's with a LSD I believe... Should be fine. Anyone have some pictures on hand of how you secure Jeep with axle straps?

I've got '09 1500, it has 3.92s. Pulls the crap out of a single Jeep. I think last couple times I towed junk, I took the front straps straight forward and the rear straps mostly rearward. A Jeep on a wood deck really won't slide, you need to help it keep from rolling forward or backward.
