wern't you rockin a six five ?
If all else fails, you can put an LS motor in it.I had 2 different 6.5s, went to a 5.3 Avalanche and now this truck. Can't hardly find a crew cab 4x4 6.5 in decent shape, or I would have one. This truck gets the job done fine for the handful of times I tow a year.

i went from a cummins truck to a 6.5
im always afraid its going to blow up or the autobox i gonna shit the bed
i guess its never left me stranded though
PMD/FSD relocated dual stat cooling system with dmax fan and a #9 resistor is all ive done to it
it gets 11-13 and im into it for less than 4 g's
i guess my question was, how does the tree fiddy do compared to a stock 6.5
i do however have a 12v cummins to stuff in it if can ever find a 5 spd to go behind it

My GC works fine for me it does have the HO engine. When going for more than a day the diesel pusher Motor Home and a Polaris Razor in front of the XJ on the trailer.
Ticker hit 403k miles last night with my 24v cummins.. All while lugging my heavy camper with a headwind up and over a 60 mile mountain range at 75mph.. Meanwhile I know two different people both replacing commonrail motors right now, due to the injector problem on the 04.5+ commonrail dodges
My seats are warn out, steering wheel has holes in the leather, headlights are yellow, but she still has more passing power than half the econoboxes sold today
I just passed 202k miles on my 24v cummins the other day.
Mine's still completely stock 5spd. Sure it's not a powerhouse, but will tow my MJ on an 18ft trailer at 60 mph all day long without giving a shit.
I do slow down to 50 mph in the hills down in PA though.
I'd like a bit more power but am hesitant to mess with the thing.
