MAP is only a month old. I think the CPS is good because I can read RPM on the FIC, but that could be coming from the camshaft sensor. I'm also pretty certain the TPS is good because I can read it from the FIC as well, but I do recall lately that sitting at idle the PCM was showing around 17% throttle position.
Here's the goofy thing - if as soon as it starts I press the throttle and hold it at around 1500 RPM, it runs fine for as long as I hold it there. That makes me think the fuel pressure is fine. But if I let off for a second then it immediately dies. Bad IAC?
EDIT: Yes I hate electrical as well even though I am pretty good at things electronic. But my current other project of rebuilding the two-stroke engine on my son's KX65 is proving far easier than this.
