What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

Swapped out the wife's radiator 2 months back or so now after all that cold weather Mine is leaking bad. I ordered a new one and got it the other day. They sent me one for a 4 banger not a 4.0L one as I selected. Called CS and they said that's all they had.....ok so call me and tell me that don't ship me one that doesn't work? so now I have to send it back wait for them to put the money back in my account and hunt down a new one. LOVE LIFE RIGHT NOW!!!!

What kind of crap is that? :wierd:

I am not an attorney but if I were you, I would be tempted to call my credit card and dispute the charge. Then I would not bother shipping the wrong one back. I remember reading somewhere that if a company sends you something that you did not order, it is yours to keep.

I seem to have aquired a large number of CD's and video tapes (ha ha, vhs) from Columbia based on that premise.

Primary reason for supporting my local economy.

Autostoned, for one: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/pa...fiZ9pdak?itemIdentifier=517553_266534_0_13752

Of course, that $102.99 is pre-tax. Small price to walk in, get something that should fit, and get it returned the same day if it does not work out. So, it is a minor sacrifice for keeping money in your local community.

BTW, autozoned is the only store in this area that could show me a radiator that looks, and fits like the one in my '90. The first lasted four years before one of the seams started to weep, got it warrantied without a receipt.

Built some rocker guards today to go around my Long Arm crossmember.

Do you know what really sucks? Drilling eight 1/2" holes into hardened plated frame rails. The only thing the PO did right was put those frame reinforcements on, but Holy Hell it was tough! Killed two new drill bits.

ARGH.. Another bearing went out in my 8.25, probably a pinion bearing. Super-sparkly oil, lots of noise when on the throttle over 25 mph, and today after a 1 hour drive I could barely touch the diff housing.

Let's just say Mike found a buyer for his axle.

Raining again....

As in when it rains, it pours. Hard to stay even when you can't quite catch up/ I continue to do battle with the Wife's '96 Bronco. It just likes to shut off. At least this last time it threw a code so... Will be changing out the Ignition Control Module. Hopefully, that will do the deed.

Cool thanks I'll check into that one. Have to wait to get my money back first. I'm not a fan of AUTO Zone but if they got it they got it.

I've had good luck for years with the company I got the radiator from this is only my first bad experience really.

If you go online you might be able to use one of their online coupons and get %20 off, but pick it up at the store.

WTH??!! What brand setup kit was it? I'll make sure to steer people away from it. You're the only person to have had issues.

Put this in earlier this week:

Had to fiddle with it, to get the clamp to hold tight. I'm not real happy with that aspect.

Put these on:

I now have a mystery: The tail lights on both sides blink when either side turn signal is activated.
