What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

Ugh....... I swapped one project for another......... with Marktard.......

I got what's on the trailer for what's parked in the background.

I don't gotta work on that '97 now....

But I am gonna be doing some heavy work swapping axles from under the buggy...... and Mark will be spending some quality time installing an engine and trans after swapping every-friggin-sensor over to work with that damn one-year-only '97 crap.

The tcases I have seen that don't have the syncro tend to have the wide chain. You might want to double check. If you know what you are doing, the syncro isn't needed, but getting a chain that doesn't stretch so easy is well worth it.

So wait, Troy, you're selling off the BOR rig and putting Mark's axles under the 2dr buggy you still barely admit to owning? Did you just give up on that oddball front Waggy axle?

What measures 34.8" and fits a 16" wheel? All I know is I got a stack of them in my garage today thanks to a friend driving up to Cheyenne for me while I was at drill. I only paid 309$ a tire after taxes too. :D

so. Got a new case at the JY. Got the sye installed. aaaaand now I realize my damn driveshaft I had to use on it isn't nearly long enough....faaawwwwkkkkkkk

I think it is just combustion engines.. I don't even want to think about the money I'm about to dump into my bike this coming spring. Between the jeep and bike, I'm gonna end up broke.
you know what is a money pit? when an internal combustion engine turns itself into an external combustion engine!

Mark gets the oddball 44 (spool) and 8.8 (limited slip) and bead locks from the buggy. He'll have to assemble/fix the one hub and shafts that blew up on the 44.

1 down, 3 to go. I hate torquing down beadlocks, its so damn time consuming. I also decided that with the cold weather it would take too long to use the color matching paint (primer, paint, and then clear) so I wimped out for now and just used some Krylon primer and Navy Blue Gloss. It'll work for now, once the weather warms up I'll consider taking the rings back off and painting them more legit or having them powder coated. As it is I want to go wheeling this weekend.
