Yup, for the lights too. Actually, toasty wires are pretty common on older vehicles. You don't notice until some component craps out from the heat involved.

I hate how that blower speed switch connector melts itself, too. They should have used relays.

I replaced the flasher on the WJ. What a pain!!! Never had to take a dash apart to replace a flasher relay before. AND Expensive.

Head light dimmer switch, 1990.

The headlight switch connector wasn't any better.

Had to replace my stupid oil sending unit today. Stealership raped me, 95 bucks for a new one. :doh: Oh well, new Mopar one installed and working perfect.

On my last xj I had the same problem. Then went down to autozone and bought one. That one went to sh!t within a week, went back and got another. That one didn't even work. Went down and bought the Mopar, and it worked perfect. Just one of those parts I'm willing to shell out for, usually they don't bend me over so far, or at least they spit on it usually. This time was raw...
