It was made using AtoZ Fab's tire carrier kit and 2x4 rectangular tubing. I've now made 2 others since Jim's, experimenting with different material dimensions and what not. In the end though, I think Jim's came out the simplest and sturdiest. I got the other ones where they don't move while driving but it took a lot of reinforcement after the fact.
On all of them though I made sure that the hatch glass would still open with the tire carrier secured. This way you could still access the rear cargo area w/o having to open the tire carrier itself.
Also, since dooing Jim's I've always left the trimming of the bumper skin to them. I admittedly hacked his up as working with plastic just isn't my forte.
Problem solved. Loose jam nut on the trac bar. Makes sense since I just had it adjusted and the problem wasn't there before that. Hit the same spot several times a day and no issues before.
Started working on a new washer bottle for the WJ. Tomorrow it looks like more fender trimming. Also picked up a spare wheel. Now just need to figure out what to do with it.
The TRE's I replaced took care of most of it. It still wants to try and wobble but it is not full blown right now. Trac bar joint is loose and I have a JKS bar on the way. Dont feel like dealing with a rod end on the trac bar. So I went with a JKS to get rubber bushings on both ends. Also after the lift my caster Is border line on the high side at 7.7. So I have a set of adjustable upper arms on the way. So I hope the arms and trac bar will take care of the rest. As for the bottle I am not using the ZJ bottle and trying something different.
