you could always bore out to the next size up - hell, convert to SAE. It's just a trans mount, I wouldn't feel bad at all about boring that out to 31/64 and tapping for a 9/16-12 bolt. Worst case, go to 5/8, since they are common at the hardware store. When I was swapping out my CPS, I noticed the transmission mount to tranny bolts were AWOL. Looking at the witness marks on the mount, I'm thinking that after I get more bolts, I'll have to spend another $30 to set Helicoils in the aluminum tranny housing...riiiiiiiiiiight!!!!:smsoap:
It appears those m12x1.75 kits are made of the fabled unobtanium alloy. I'm hoping there is enough aluminum to hold a 12mm insert with a finer thread pitch...if I can buy one local.
I've followed up on a few of those, didn't appreciate having to drill bigger holes in the stock replacement.you could always bore out to the next size up - hell, convert to SAE. I lucked out! When I dropped the crossmember to inspect the threads, they were useable. Now I'm out of thread locker. When I was swapping out my CPS, I noticed the transmission mount to tranny bolts were AWOL. Fastenal probably has them, but CD Fasteners in FC stocks them. I have the swaging tool for a couple of the sizes. So they do still make those! Jeep uses those to attach the gas tank skid under the MJ's. All MJ's have holes for the skids, but only install the rivet-nuts when the order required the skid.
Are they sold locally or mail-order only?
