Ya know...that reminds me, my dumbass never sent those pics of my tube fenders I told you I'd send over! Sorry about that dude!! I'll take some tonight and PM them to you.

You have a PM!

Finally swapped out the rear bastard packs for some RE 3.5" leaf springs. Also swapped out the dana 35 for a 29 spline 8.25. Thought the bastard packs were the cause of my driver side lean. It was 1 3/4" lower on the drivers side front and rear. With the new leaf springs its now 1/2" lower on the drivers side. Any other ideas to get this to sit level side to side? Had this issue with the lift on my 90. I swapped front coils side to side and it didnt change the lean. Driving me nuts. I have a tire carrier i want to put on but the tire will sit on the drivers side. So i have a feeling it will sag even more when i put it on.

I would say try swapping leafs side to side. Could be the cause.

Just put new leafs on. The coils are used. I think it may be the coils. If you lift up on the left front just a little everything equals out. Looks like a new set of coils are in my future. Or maybe some adujstable spacers. It never ends.

Great work David, it turned out awesome.

I spent a good 12hrs working on Solarbell's Jeep today:

New steering, custom panhard bar mount, and custom panhard bar.
The tie-rod

Going to use the OD clamp to attach the drag link to the tierod and the small pieces of larger tubing will act as stops so that the clamp can't slide along the tie-rod

Factory panhard bar mount got in the way so my plasma cutter came out.

New panhard bar mocked up. The drag link is 30" eye to eye and the panhard bar is 28" eye to eye. Later on we're going to rework the frame side mount and stretch the panhard bar to 30" also. The angle is really close as is too.

Panhard bar mount done (Solar will grind it later as its been a 12hr day working on all of this) and ballistic cover slightly modified

And on the ground

All in all a lot more work than we had expected thanks to the panhard bar mount issues. I think it turned out good though and it'll definitely take a hell of a beating. If you don't want to go all crazy with the panhard bar then I would recommend the offset tie-rod ends.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Dutch. What was supposed to be a 6 hour day to built and install the steering and put on some LCA skids turned into a 12 hour marathon of fabricating a totally new panhard bar setup along with the steering. This week it all comes apart again to grind down and paint.

hey dutch can you post a close up pic of the track bar mount on the axle? what was the problem with the the track bar? the OE spot on the axle wouldnt work cause the tie rod and drag link would hit?

looks good.

I'll get some detail pics today and post them up. The tie rod had huge interference with the stock axle-side track bar mount no matter what we tried, so it had to get moved. The clamp didn't help things either. It feels super stable now that the track bar and drag link are almost exactly the same length and angle.

I'm not neccessarily 100% proud of the mount itself as it was an unexpected and rushed ordeal. I'm fully confident that the axle tube will snap before it ever rips off or comes apart, just that with more time to plan and figure it out the final result would've turned out a lot more professional and a bit less garage built. Hopefully Doug does some good grinding before he posts up the close-up shots. :D

Its mounted just above the level of the spring perch and as close as I could get it without contact being made.
