What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

hey, you leave frank's "parts" alone!

Oh, but they mine, now! :D

Besides, there is plenty of Frank to go around...

On a serious note. Any of you home doers looking for a project of stupid but consuming shat on a xj once parts are appropriated??
Things such as (front fenders, trim rear, door swap -likely all 4- )
And that's about it til paint then trans swap.

I know I'm north of you but I'd be willing to discuss doing this for you.

Finally finished my tire carrier today. Still need to weld in the clevis mounts, but it's about 95%. I didn't take as many build pictures as I would've liked to because I was in a rush, but you get the gist.

Now I just need to get a 35" spare and I'll be golden.

Have you figured out where you are going to mount your plate??

It's been a while since I've posted anything so I figured it was about time for an update. I took a break from building the jeep to invest more time and funds into forming a new company as well as spending more time with the wife.

The new company will be focused on providing new and properly engineered products specifically for the XJ's. We have a bunch of cool new stuff coming so stay tuned! Right now we're putting the finishing touches on the website, and beginning the initial production of the first batch of product. We will be aiming for release in the next month or so.

I'm still working on the logo, but here's what I have so far...

SO Stoked for things to come.

x3, let me know when it is available.

While I'm perfectly happy with my front bumper, if you need a 87 to 90 to make sure it fits, I'll volunteer. :)

Yup...I'm building a Jerry Can holder on the right side of the carrier arm. On that holder, I'll be mounting the plate and two LEDs to keep Ol' Smokey happy.

And besides the fairlead mount, I finished my front bumper today. I think it came out pretty good. I need a day when it over 50* so I can paint it. Winter sucks.

i think you need more gussets

I think you're right....

When I build something, I want it to outlast the vehicle I put it on.

Old dog, new tricks. I'll mix up some solution after work.

Your marketing is spot-on. This bumper is making me rather stiff.

........ Failing to see a "bumper"........ :dunno:

But yeah, the winch mount is pretty bitchin! I might need me one of those for my dually MJ project. Looks like it could be hidden behind a stock bumper with a fabbed up removeable license plate.

Definitely a beefy bumper. Good lines. I think I had ya beat though. I'm fairly certain this front bumper weighed 300+ lbs with the Pierce 12K winch on the front. The front part had 1/2" steel BEHIND the 1/4" plate for the fairlead...... I had to use an engine hoist to get it off.

So I put it on a diet........ Cut all the 1/2" plate out, moved it back a few inches and lost the winch and jack mount. :D

Dear Lord, is that what your garage floor looks like? It's so..........clean :wierd::D

Gracias about the bumper. I tried not to go too crazy with the plate so the only 1/4" I used was for the frame tie-ins and the plate that the winch attaches to. The rest is all 3/16. My calibrated elbow tells me it's around 45lbs without the winch.
