Hello Im new to the boards here I just got a 89 xj (cherokee pioneer) and I am looking for people in my area that want to go do some MILD off roading and lots of mudding. I am new to the off road area I have been building sport compacts for the last 6 years or so. I am not use to being off the ground so to say. If anyone is in the area and would like to meet new people and get dirty please get ahold of me. Or even if you know of trails in or around cumberland md please let me know. thank you in advance.

hey, do a search on the web. I know there are a couple of places out your way, they are State Parks with some trails and camping. I know there are some stream crossings and such but not sure how good the trails are. MD isnt really known for great 4 wheeling... Also check this website out...

Greenridge state Forest has some mild wheeling going on there and its at your doorstep. I'll be heading up there in October for the Fall Foiliage tour. It is a mapped route (loop) that has points of interest telling the history of the place. Distance is around 30 miles. The route is car capable but you can travel different roads to make it interesting.

Belair has some of the best offroading in Maryland. Granted, not all of the places you can go offroading is legal, but none the less, a great time. The State Parks are a good time, but the problem I've found with them is that you first have to be tagged to run the trails. Its not that hard to get tagged for the OHV trails, but it'll cost you in the range of $20 - $30 a year.

what state parks have OHV trails? are they actually in MD?
