Well, isn't this too bad

Your statements are vague and lack accuracy, please provide supporting data to back up your opinions. I'll make this easy so you can be specific in your response:

  • Define how you would have resolved the multiple conflicts in Iraq without deploying troops.
  • Define how you would have resolved the multiple conflicts in Afghanistan without deploying troops.
  • Provide supporting data that clearly indicates that the Republican party planned on financing these two military deployments by reducing social program funding.
  • Provide specific details as to which Obama policies have been implemented or are proposed to be implemented, which will "clean up the mess."

Absolutely! Don't blab it if you can't back it.

In the presidential campaign then candidate Obama stated he would go after Osama Bin Laden, now from another thread on this forum it was indicated that a group led by Leon Panetta, Hillary Clinton, General Petraus (sic) and others actually forced the President's decision, but the bottom line is Osama Bin Laden is dead. The previous administration may have begun the hunt for OBL, but the present administration concluded it.

Some people believe OBL's been dead for years... and not just conspiracy theorists, either.

Without the body I'm having a tough time believing it too. I'd be more prone to believe he's been taken, as for dead I have my doubts. Gitmo, nope, too many eyes and ears there, another hole somewhere, that I would buy, with quiet disposal after he's been thoroughly 'debriefed' if he survives.
If they had brought the body back it could have been used to sucker in more than a few idiots in search of martyrdom.

Just to set the record straight, the hunt for OBL began during Clinton's administration in 1998 after two US embassies were bombed in Africa. As my daughter and others have said, he was the best hide and seek player in the world. It took a lot of effort from a lot of people to track him down.

Thanks, Tom. I'm expecting 420 to respond and back up his statements, but you bring up some great points.

Intelligence that led them to bin Laden was gained through means that Senator and President Obama openly opposed.

Obama failed to lead and actually obstructed the process of taking out bin Laden, but the true leaders in his admin stepped up and got this job done.

This was a sticky wicket.

It brings me no comfort that the Secretary of State & the head of the CIA, along with others overruled the President. I am glad for the outcome but it is a dangerous precedent for members of the cabinent. I am also disappointed that the President was hesitant to act.

The Washington Post article about the Clinton Administration not taking action against OBL is worthless. As stated in the article the Saudi's would not take him and the US had no grounds for an indictment in US courts. GTMO hosting detainess wasn't an option in 1996 and can you imprison someone for crimes they may commit?

Am I correct in noting that the Socyberty author never names the "Washington DC Insider" who was the source of information for that article? I do note however that Robert Gates is listed as one of those pushing for an invasion of the Al-Queda compound. Its a bit curious then that Gates said he had reservations about the operation and called the raid against Osama bin Laden a "gutsy call" -- "one of the most courageous" he's seen a president make. http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-robert-gates-60-minutes-20110515,0,639300.story

"In June 2009, Obama directed his CIA director to "provide me within 30 days a detailed operation. plan for locating and bringing to justice Osama Bin Laden".

Here is a partial list of those who were not Commander in Chief of the US military when OBL was rubbed out:

H. Cinton
Leon Panetta
David Patraeus

Note that Barrack Obama is not on that list, nor is he on the full list. Here is a full list of all those with the title of Commander in Chief at the time:

Barrack Obama

The thing about the internet is anyone can write any damn thing he/she wants to write using anonomous sources on obscure blog sites. If someone can see the identity of the "DC Insider" in that article then I stand corrected.

Alot of my sentiments cannot be backed up by simply providing a link, because someone else would also use selective abstraction to dispute it. Why post links, when all you have to do is read between the lies.
It could not be more obvoius that the intent of the Iraq war was to only spend down the treasury. What better way to do this than war. It also transfers enormous sums of cash from the treasury to private hands, which is a republican goal since before Reagan.
Figure it out geniuses.

Why I agree with your second statement about the transfer of wealth the intent of the Iraq front of the war on terrorism is because Saddam Hussein tried to kill the President's dad.

Oh and the Dems have not tried to stop the hemmorage from the treasury either.

Hard as it is to believe, some people just cannot figure it out for themselves, they always need to read someone else saying or thinking it.
It is not really that hard to figure out.
I believe even you XJEEPER will come to the same conclusions as I have once you start to think for yourself.

In case you missed it....... http://www.naxja.net/forum/showpost.php?p=245336279&postcount=103http://www.naxja.net/forum/showpost.php?p=245336279&postcount=103

As stated in my original post on the subject regarding this "insider info", I'm still questioning it's validity, however it does align with my beliefs about Obama.

As for Gates 60 Minutes interview, he has to give Obama the credit.
