Well boys and gals, iv done something bad.

as some of you know some number of weeks i got some full width axles. a 9 in and a 44 w/ 4.88s, a spool out back and a detroit in the front.

the good news is the 9 in is in the jeep. (heres the bad part) i didnt take any in work pictures.

but i have the tada! pics with it in

so uh TADA!!

so the front will be going in tomorrow i hope with the aid of my buddy tony.

i think i win the day

Welcome to the full-width club. I'm scared of tipping over so I dig my Ford9/D44 full-width combo. Mine are from a 79 Bronco. How about yours?

yes the 9 is shaved. the previous owner did it as well as the trussing. did a clean job of it too. the roll around seat is like 20 yrs old and my dad gave it to me works like a champ! the cooler was there for the frosty beverages but it has been replaced by a brand new mini fridge i got for changing my neighbors idler pulley in her trail blazer

both came out of a '76
i have a small habit of beating the hell out of my axles and it was time for one hell of an upgrade. and since 35s will be the biggest i ever run, the 9 and 44 seemed like the best way.

well wait no more!

so i have to wait for my upper control arm experiment to come in, get brake stuff for the axles a new u-joint for the front drive shaft, and get my steering arm reamed to the new and beefy size. and copy 440s shock set up out back. then it "should" be ready for a shake down run. all of this will be next weekend. i hope lol

oh i saw my meats and i smiled and ill be getting some wide flairs to cover em too if i wanna drive it on base.

and the flexy goodness will come soon enough. right now the number one thing i waiting on is parts. but keep in mind that im still short arm so no too super flexy goodness....

oh and i got steering hooked up and half the rear brakes

5.5 on 35X12.50 but it also has jack stands under it for the time being lol

ah I see, the jack stands must be the big difference, im running between 4.5 and 5 inches on 35s with the same axles, and mine is nowhere near that tall:wave:
