Water level in our lakes?

I finally have a weekend off and was thinking of going up and getting some of the dust off my kayaks. I have been to Pedro a couple times this year and it is way low so I was wondering if anyone knew how much water is in Spicer, Union, or lake alpine. I figured since it is right by Slickrock someone on here would know how the water levels are and if it is even worth going up this time of the year.

Turlock lake has a bit of water. Was just fishing on saturday.

Lake alpine has less water in it than those pictures make it look like there is. Not that its a huge deal though, a kayak would still be a blast. Just the loop by where silver creek enters the lake is all dry and you cant squeeze through the islands any more.

Utica/union were low but probably the same deal as Lake Alpine. A lot of the coves/fingers of the lake are dry but the main body still has plenty of water to paddle around in.

Are you headed up this weekend? If you head up to Alpine keep an eye out for me catching all the big fish off my little aluminum boat. (wishful thinking but maybe it will happen).

If you are refering to my post john. We dont catch much but small mouth bass that arnt worth keeping i mainly go for the beer.

No Kevins Post. He is always telling me how many fish he catches at alpine and I have never caught one there.I am a terrible fisherman and I take pride in that. sort of. I need to catch a fish one day.

Hahahhaha Jon the boat isn't necissarily the ticket, I've caught many from shore too. The boat just gets you out to the deep spot by the dam and is good for trolling. Gotta let the power bait drop to the bottom. Takes a while to find where the fish are though.

The water is low and they stocked the lake a few weeks ago (which is surprising for this late in the year) so there's bound to be some good fishing.

ok good to know. I just need to go with you next time. I tried lures and power bait all over that damn lake. But then again I've never caught a fish in my life. Thats a fact. They can tell its me.

Sweet, theres some water. I'm planning on going the 18-19 so I won't see you this weekend. Just leave me a couple fish. I am probably going to try Spicer Medow Resivoir first but if Alpine just got planted it is going to be hard to pass up. Especially this time of year when it isn't getting too many visitors. I have an addiction to Bass Pro and have all the best fishing stuff ever made and still don't catch mutch so don't feel bad Jon. I will catch one fish and whoever I go with will get 7 or 8, its pitiful. I claim its because I don't have a fishfinder on the kayak yet...more money on fishing stull has to be the key.

Turlock lake is where I go if I only have a day or a couple hours but this time I want to go somewhere I can camp for the night. I usually park at the back side where you can park on the dirt right next to the water. It makes unloading the kayak real easy and I haven't gotten a ticket for parking out there yet. Turlock is great because I can go fish there for a few hours early in the morning then hit up Lula's in Empire on the way home and get an awesom burger for lunch.
