I have a vision impairment which limits my peripheral vision and depth perception.

I'm not sure wheeling would be a good idea.....
Its a shame you don't live in VA. None of us have cash but we love to tinker with other peoples shit! Add beer and pizza, hell, you'd get all your stuff built in a weekend up here.
LOL! Great minds think alike. Not being rude NCCherokeeGirl, but I agree. If you have major visual issues, an off-roading hobby may not be the best idea.
She just got finished saying she could not drive on the highway. How in the world could you see enough to wheel?
Let me ask you this, how does she have a license then? According to several people (who don't know any more than what she has said on the forum), her vision would be so poor she shouldn't be driving at all. She has a license to drive on the highway but prefers to not drive on the interstate. That is the way I read it. You know how poorly people drive at 65 plus MPH. At 2-10 MPH you have a lot more time to react and position yourself for what is coming up on the trail.
I'm sure I'm the Lone Ranger on this issue but I'd give her a chance to wheel.

You are correct on this issue. I do have a valid NC license, and I do drive around town with no issues, even up to 50mph. And yes, I am perfectly capable of driving on the highway, but I just prefer not to. People are always driving like idiots on the highway, and at those speeds, you can't afford to make a mistake.
My vision is not so poor that I can't see what I'm doing. Basically what it comes down to is, I only have vision in one eye, but I can see fine enough to drive in the other one.
Don't get discouraged, jsut ask up. You will find there are a lot of nice people that are willing to help out on here.
