WANTED: roller chasis xj or various parts

Is there any difference between the 2wd bellhousing and the 4wd?

I ask because I have seen the 2wd in the Pick Your Part.

Bellhousing for the correct motor will be the same.

Good to know.

Besides the bellhousing and fork are there other parts that one should pull at the same time? I figure the slave cylinder is probably best bought new, unless the JY donor looks like new.

I'd get the plumbing, too.

I'd like to an external setup, too. I might convert my red Jeep to an AX-15.

Isnt the stock plumbing on these things the stupid 'composite' (plastic) ones?

I just did an external conversion, and bought the AN stainless lines from novak, also money well spent.

Good to know.

Dont forget the bearing retainer plate, as its required when doing an inter->exter clutch swap. its the plate behind the clutch that retains the output shaft bearing.

Mine is a 1990 with the internal slave ax-15.... I spose the hunt begins to find the external....sigh....I need to made the drive out to the I-5 past Lancaster....apartently there are lots of junk yard there. And there is a dedicated Jeep JY in rinalto....

Noah scored an external slave bellhousing recently, so that's at least one piece of the puzzle. But, I don't know that he got the bearing retainer, so that will need more investigation.

Actually, Noah scored a boatload more stuff than just the bellhousing, but that's another post...
