vibe damping camera mount

I need a vibration damping mount for my digital camera.

Can someone suggest one to me? It doesnt need to be pretty, or particularly spectacular in any way .. it just needs to hold the camera there without letting it shake itself to pieces.

hold the camera where? to the jeep? a tripod? tried using neoprene between the cam and the mount?

I considered neoprene, but I dont think its going to be "enough", and I really only get one chance at this - so theres not a lot of room to experiment.

As far as to what .. sure, a jeep.

where in the jeep are you mounting it?

i had mine mounted to the dash, above the radio/hvac controls area in a clamp style mount i made, and had no vibration problems what so ever. the dash pretty much soaks up all the shakes. are we talking video or still photo?

You might check out Ram Mounts to see if they have something that would work for you. I have one of their mounts for my Garmin 60CSx and am very pleased with it.
