VENTING!!! D-30...Pinion Nut!

let is soak in pb blaster for a while?

put the socket on the nut, a breaker bar on the socket, the Jeep in 4low and push the Jeep to use it's weight to turn the pinion. Haven't done it on a front axle, but I'm assuming that in 4low, it'll turn the pinion.

I made a bar that is 6' long and clamps to the yoke to keep the axle from turning(I brace this bar to the garage floor), I then put a 4' pipe on my breaker bar and on the pinion nut and stand on it, it will brake loose. Something will break LOL!

how stong is your impact? Mine is a cheapy rated at only 250ft Lbs. Thats tightening. It is even less in reverse. I had to use a piece of pipe {about 6 ft. long} on a breaker bar. I lined it up then jumped on it while a buddy held it in place with his foot. I weigh about 230. So it took compounded about 4 bazillion pounds to bust it loose.

After breaking a 1/2" breaker bar, I had to use a 24" pipe wrench from Lowes on mine:
