Vegas to Reno Thread

So I'm gonna start this in hope that people start telling their stories and posting pictures in here.

We ran good in 1724. I didn't personally get to go after all, which bummed me out, but the team did awesome.

We set out in 3rd pretty early and held that position for most of the race with about a 20 mile gap. Eventually, every car behind us had broken and were DNF's.

We fought issues with speed, we were having fueling issues that would not let the car get up much over 50mph, which was giving 2nd and 1st place the opportunity to get way ahead of us. Eventually we found fuel pressure issues were coming from a dying fuel pump and switched to the aux unit, which brought us back to life.

1788, a first timer holding second all day got stuck in some silt and with our power back we were able to catch up and overtake for the second place finish.

Very happy to be putting this car back into podium finishes!

Great job on the finish. Did you guys get the shifter all wired up? I think you need some stickers too?????????????????

We did wire it all up, kind of last minute when we had too many issues with the BrettAW4 shifter. And yes, send over some new decals to me, the last ones didn't survive the shuffle around the shop.

I would like to see a few changes to it - a more positive engagement into each gear, and if you can figure out wiring for a numbered gear indicator that could be put on the dash, that'd be awesome.

thats awsome guys. Looks like v2r was to much for the rest of the jeeps. I was watching on the internet helping 1708 with tracking but it was kind of boring since they dnfed and the rest of the field did too. Read every thread about your jeep and like what you and the previous owners have done to it.

I too would love to see more jeepspeed racers get on this site.
