i think usually the rule with burns is that if its not deep enough to ruin the hair folical (spelling is not right) then it will heal fast and with little to no scarring...damaged hair folicals means you've damaged the 2nd layer of skin and it will be much longer healing. i had both when i burnt myself...

what kind of ointment do they have her on mac? is it the silver sulfate stuff? thats what i had to use.

thats what mine was...it was weird because it was white when you put it one, but it turned a dark color after it was on for a while. whatever it was, worked just fine. healed up pretty darn quick because it happened about 2 weeks before football camp my sophomore year and i don't remember missing any of camp

At least make the calls and find out. Just because it's not a sudden onset does not mean that it shouldn't be addressed quickly. Doc, GP, urgent care, burn clinic, emergency room, talk to SOMEONE.

Medicine reactions take a few days to kick, but clear up fast after you stop the meds.

They told me to quit using the lotion and just use the Gauze.

They said that they didn't think the rash was medicine related. Just thought that it was a normal preggo rash and that was more irritated by the stress on the body from the burns...I bought some expensive gold bond lotion that seems to be helping her...

This is her right foot last night.

ive never seen that ointment...then again, i haven't been to the burn unit in a while. looks like her feet are healing fine. she'll be ready to kick you in the junk again in no time

Burn doc said that they were impressed today by how much healing there was already.

Still have a couple areas on both feet that we have to wrap twice a day.

She can be up a bit more, but still not as much as normal. The swelling that had been going on with her feet is way down...but that was going on before this incident.

I'm still tired, but we are getting there.
