Ugg here we go again.....

Yeah, that's the one I was looking at.

I wonder if the 225 flows enough to run a stroker the way I want to. If that thing leans out at higher RPMs it would be a disaster.

That's a good question... I'm not sure that it actually would go lean - I think the flow rating on them is more related to the size of the venturi(s). I know a lot of the big-block guys who run a single Impco 425 and say the only real problem is that it blows regarding power. But they might be running the 115 octance propane on an 8:1 CR and that might be what is saving their butt.

He says he is setting up to do winch events, which according to the 'off roading' article on Wikipedia...

I guess it involves getting your vehicle into rediculous situations, then extracting yourself? Not sure I understand the appeal there...

HAHAHA ya that's pretty much it.

I'm stationed in england at the moment, winch challenge events are where the "big" boys play. In the states, you have tellico and moab with your 50k rock buggies. Over here you have a bunch of rich land rover owners that dump 50K GBP ($100K) into there landy and go thrash the shit out of it. They do "punch" events where the organizer puts out punches that you have drive to that they can barley climb/walk to.

They also do timed events

Basically being in the military I never know where I'll end up next. I'm building the most capable rig possible on my budget geared towards a combination of rocks and winch challenge.

So far, or coming soon:
