Twizzler; a Red Street Whip, the Twist Being a Supercharger

Well, thats a bust. Looking around, the only other two long tube headers with new downpipe (2.5") are the pacesetters and dynomax blackjacks. I've heard some subpar stuff about the pacesetter so I'm thinking i might get the blackjack. Once I get the FI on it, i'll see how the 2.5" works. worst comes to worst, i'll rework their y-pipe and replace the back half with 3".

Anybody have any reasons I shouldn't get a blackjack?

You can always have a downpipe made to match yours in the larger diameter. You should really get a new one made to include a flex joint anyways. I'd never let that option delegate with header I got, thats a terrible idea.

yeah, but theyre are a spilt y-pipe setup IIRC since they have the two piece headers.

My 99 has a nice stock downpipe; 2.25" for the first half, 2.5" for the second, manderal bent. my plan is to simply cutoff the flange, dented area, and first few inches and reweld another one on i have laying around from a SBF or SBC y-pipe. this will elimanate the dented area and keep stuff budget.

When I do this and have everything off, im gunna buy some straight 2.5" tubes and experiment making my own downpipes. The garage i used to work at has a nice exhaust tube bender and i know he'd let me screw around with it. If i can make something nice enough that works the way i want it to, i may just go that route and buy a header that is a bolt on one.
