Twizzler; a Red Street Whip, the Twist Being a Supercharger

I scored myself a sweet 95 2dr 4.0 AX-15 231 with 121k on the clock and ZERO rust on this baby, a rare find here in New England. Since I've already got a 99 on 35's with a HP60 waiting for it, I decided this would become a street bound XJ ready to take on anyone who thinks they can mess with jeep power. Mostly everything non-drivetrain related will stay stock, simple comfort upgrades like a 97+ console and some full gauges. Appearence wise, it'll get lowered roughly 2" with a SUA setup on a bastard pack out back and some cut coils upfront. I'm thinking maybe some black rubicon wheels, blackout nose, and a cowl hood should give it a slightly aggresive look.

Current plans are:
-Built stroker
-Normal stroker goodies; 4 counterwieght crank, rework stock rods (unless a set of eagle's appear at a sweet price), dished pistons, cam, HD valvetrain hardware, roller rockers, port and polish work, ect....

-FORCED INDUCTION!!!
-Why the hell not?!?! Once the stroker is done and driving and I start to crave more power, it'll be time to start on the next level. I'll be building my own custon setup and make it *cough cough* budget freindly. For this, I'm leaning more towards a superchager instead of a turbo. Which type of setup, on the other hand, is still in question.

M90
The first idea I have is bulding a custom intake manifold to mount a M90 on. I wanna be able to keep eveything under a stock hood, so I'd make it so it sit lower or something like 505's idea with it on its side

Also similar to something like Rimmer's 1st gen setup

Centrifugal Setup
My lastest ideas have been about mounting a centrigual supercharger where the A/C compressor is, similar to XJ-Armors setup. I've never been one to use A/C anyways, I'm a windows down type of guy. Not only will I be able to shed the wieght of the A/C stuff, I'll have a place to mount the superchager. This also opens the possibilty of easily piping in an intercooler for some more HP. Since the condenser won't be needed, I should be able to slip something behind the stock grill:D

Now I know that a M90 is a good match for the I6, but I need some more ideas about what size/type of centrifugal blower would work best with this engine. Hopefully since this is OBDI, I can keep the computer happy with some adjustable sensors and the engine happy with some larger injectors and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. This thread (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=994494&highlight=blown) has giving me some great ideas but I know theres some others out there that like to try and make more power like me.

Someone's been reading my posts :D
Like I said before, the hardest part about this setup is getting your hands on that intake manifold. 505 doesn't seem to sell the kit anymore (I don't think they ever did), and Rimmer's been out of business for long time (and the kit retailed for ~4k when it was available in the 90s)

Thats why if I go this route, I'll be building my own intake from scratch. Thats why I saved the picture of the mounting alyout. I was thinking 5/16-3/8" for the engine mounting flange and the supercharger mounting flange, some DOM for the intake runners, and something like 12 or 14 gauge sheetmetal for transitions and other areas if need be. I'll add extra material to areas that are used to mount sensors, PS setup, throttle cables, etc. Once built and fully welded, I'd have a machine shop deck the mounting surfaces flat and machine the holes for the injectors.

Always been a fan of any forced induction stroker idea. 2dr with stick is awesome too. If I were in your shoes I would make it 2wd making it lighter and it would free up the drivetrain a little bit. Bare bones 2wd 2dr would be light as crap. Dont give up either! Ive seen too many people including myself talk about this and never do it!

all you need is some eagle 6150s($400-500), some ross or diamond custom forged pistons w/ 25-30cc dishes(another $400-500), an m90(?), an ftc1($150-250), say 36# injectors($200), some fabbing skills, and you're good to go:D

The thought crossed my mind, but I've decided to keep the 4WD for some fun AWD launches and snow drifting. Its already a bare bones jeep, power nothing and no options. Hell, the back hatch doesnt even have speakers or actaul glass, its got a piece of plexi. I will be removing what extra weight I can otherwise.

They still do:
Get the 8.5:1 kit for turbo/blown apps.
Add a balanced and blueprinted 258 crank for $425 more:

YES!!! I've seen these kits before and tried to find the link the other day. I got scared when I couldnt find them, I thought they mights stopped. I have to crack into my buddies old 4.2 to see which crank it has in it, if its not the right one I want, I may consider this. Although its a big chuck of change, its will take alot of guess work and parts hunting outta the equation and I'd really only need a machine shop for the block work.
