granted I know very little about such things... but this is the first I have seen or heard of this... why isn't it more widely used?

10. Does this unit work on diesel engines ?
Yes, this has been installed by my customers on a diesel engine.

Sweet I'm going to put one on my F250 and have a turbo supercharged turbo.

oh duh silly me :D
Might have to turn the boost down on that bad boy.

OOOH SAWEET! you're a genius Mp! Hook up a potentiometer to the throttle, giving you variable electric boost on demand, that is truly awesome.

:greensmok I think I just died a little on the inside, but...

You could probably sell potentiometer kits on ebay for those things lol. I wonder if it would make a $

Yeah, I bought the new synthetic halogen fluid from that guy and it works wonders. Although the flow is increased by using an aftermarket kanooter valve. I just changed mine out and it made more power everywhere. Shed a few pounds from the stock setup as well. A+++ ebayer hasta

For any turbo or supercharger system you need to increase the FUEL intake as well as the EXHAUST's ability to flow. It's just like adding a cold air intake, bored throttle body and upgrading the intake manifold but leaving the exhaust alone. It's not going to do much because if the air can't escape as fast as it can get in it won't suck it in any faster. And if you try to ram the air in there faster, well maybe it will force through the exhaust faster, your fuel pump won't keep up into the higher RPMs and you will lean way out. Cracks me up this thing is just a belt driven turbo. Where does it mount, on top of the power steering pump? :repair:

Are you talking about the rotrex?

I knew a guy in high school that plumbed a squirrel cage fan to his carb. It was pretty funny lookin, we laughed quite a bit. Dryer vent hose and all.

I was talking about the one XCM posted the picture of. I didn't look at the eBay link until a few minutes ago and saw that it is electric. :eye:

Does that thing run constantly when the ignition is on or what? hahaha. Those things come up on here at least once a year. If you have to ask the question of whether it will work or not, just buy the thing and see for yourself. I'm sure the difference will be "seat-of-your-pants" noticeable. And the economy gains will be off the friggin' charts, no doubt.
