Think I'm going to be having a JD2 bender on the way and was wondering you guys fabbed up your own stands or if you used the "pedestal" stand that they sell.

Let me know. It's going in a 2 car garage so I already ordered the plate that allows you to rotate it but I guess if I could move it that would be even better.

I have that bender myself. I built a hydraulic attachment so I could use an air over hydraulic cylinder on it. Then I built a base that is on casters so it can move around. Without the hydro attachment it has to be stationary and bolted to the floor because otherwise it would just move around when you pulled on it to bend the tube.

You sir are my new best friend lol. Let me know if you need a hand with the 4wd swap or any thing that's going on I wrench just about every weekend on my rig if not im working on my house or someone elses stuff. If you need help with the construction side of things to install this tube bender I can help there as well. I know you've recently had surgery so just let me know if you need a hand or anything like that. I cant wait to see the conversion take effect. I have been interested to see that take place from start to finish because I find so many 2wd jeeps around here and I always know someone looking for a jeep.

No problem I'll let you know. It will probably be a while before I get it set up as I'm pretty much hobbling around at best. The welder I have is only going to be able to handle up to 1/4" but that will be fine for everything jeep related.

Thats a good point. Guess I'll bolt it in. I'll take a picture of my garage as is and see what you guys think would be the best place to put it. I have that swag plate on the way that alllows you rotate it when you run out of space so that should help. As long as I have room for my wife to park her car in the garage I'm good. My truck and Jeep can live outside.

I just stumbled upon this thread and just thought i'd comment on it.
The world needs more people like you. People willing to lend a hand without even being asked. Very commendable, may good luck come your way!

Did you source all the hydro parts yourself? I'm probably gonna end up with one in a few weeks and if I can do the hydro myself for much cheaper i'd like to just knock it all out in one shot.
