Trussed and packed D44

Need to sell my axle. D44 trussed chromoly shafts 4.56 with full spool. Drum brakes 5x5.5. Gear install by RWKHAUS. Has u bolt yoke instead of the strap style. And a pinion skid. No shock mounts so u will need to weld some on or mount the shocks on top the leaf springs. Shoot me an offer.

cant you also run those shafts 5x4.5, or is that axle not from an xj/tj/mj?

they look dual drilled to me in the pic, a new set of studs and you should be able to make them XJ pattern.

Yea u guys r right. And the studs are threaded which is pretty sweet. Don't have to press em in. The gears have less than 1000 miles on em. Shafts r close to 2000 miles.

Anyone want the shafts, or gears or housing?? I'd be glad to part it out if no one wants it complete. Got the 4.56 and the 5.38 gear sets. Alloy USA chromoly shafts. A set of 5x4.5 to 5x5.5 spidertrax adapters. Full drum brake junk, and the housing. Anyone want anything??

I wonder if he built mine. Mine looks identicle and has identicle gearing and spool. I got it from a member in long beach and He said they used it for jeepspeed.

Could be. But IIRC I had to go to corona or thereabouts to pick it up. Maybe he moved?

It held up great for me. No problems at all. With the spool I could take the beast up nearly anything in just 2wd. I just broke U-joints on the driveshaft. lol
