Treks Y-link

ok update... finally got something done on this.. spent the past two weeks working on my brothers new jeep.. getting all lift parts swapped over and what not.. so today I went out to Weavers Machine Shop and got some steel plate.. and boxed in the pass UCA mount on the axle im putting in when i do the y-link. pics...

Looks good, that should keep the mount from collapsing now. One more thing though, I would run a gusset from the axle tube to the side of the UCA mount. I vividly remember NHrockers actually ripping the entire mount right off the axle, pretty much right at the welds. Many people do the filler plate like you did, and leave the bottom long so it can be bent to wrap around the axle tube and then weld it to the tube. If you throw a gusset on there though, it should have the same effect.

might have a professional weld something of those sorts on.. idk if id feel comfortable welding on the tube, dont really know what the chances are of warping the shaft :dunno:

haha it is indeed quite amusing

the sye actually looks tackleable

still up in the air wether i will h&t or do an sye

and the thought of swapping in a 241 keeps on crossing my mind, i gotta stop that

lets get this done!!!! ya got two weekends till testing time!

officially starting tomorrow with the install of this new transfer case, and mocking up for the belly pan.;)
