Transfer case linkage check, please.

Rough Country says my skid should have a 1" offset towards the passenger side, which it does.

Maybe I need the centered transmission mount instead of the offset one.

Is there any way to measure exactly where my transfer case should be?

Everything needs to shift about 1/2" to the driver's side in order for the yokes to line up. I just ordered the centered transmission mount. Let's see how it goes.

My t-case destroying linkage is now fixed and the irritating vibrations at idle are gone.

I solved all of my problems by swapping a different transmission mount to straighten out the engine/transmission and replacing the stock linkage with a heim link that I bought from someone on this forum.

First, I replaced the offset transmission mount with the centered one, which shifted the entire driveline an inch towards the driver's side. This lined everything up and fixed the engine vibrations. I don't know why the offset mount that came with my XJ didn't line up right, but oh well.

Then I replaced the the funky stock linkage that destroyed my first t-case....

with this heim kit that was shipped from forum user "Kingkong0192". The transfer case now shifts smoothly and each stage is well-defined.

Thanks for helping me diagnose this problem.
