Has anyone ever attempted this during the winter. I've dreamed of an expedition from the Golden Spike memorial to Wendover. Has anyone ever did this run?

Apparently no one has been out that way in the winter. The chapter has done the Lucern cut-off multiple times, but not in winter, at least not in the last 3 years. The trip usually involved returning that way with an overnight stop. Sorry I can't help you any more than that.

Thanks SandySteve. I'm thinking about some winter wheeling and will continue to see if this is possible.

Its open all winter but travel with friends. It can get drifted in and muddy depending on conditions.

I've been out there a few times. Be sure to take another vehicle. Depending on weather it's either gooey muddy and passable or deep snow and you spend your time stuck. I'd go with you but I'm in the process of moving.
