You know boss, A funny thing happened on the way to work this morning. I mean i was just driving along when i lost power, i am not sure but i think the motor blew up into a million pieces or it was stolen as i was going down the highway.

Gas turbine test truck from the 60's. You can barely see the front of the turbine engine right behind the cooler. If I remember right this was a promo shot done to show how streamlined the engine would allow the front end of a truck to be. Cool concept and they ran like a raped ape but they never caught on.

i don't know how this expression got started, but it seems like it's only popular in southern CA and that is because of a super gasser dragster that used to run on Lion's drag strip in the 60s that had the same name.
