Trails in Wisconsin

does anybody know about any good trails in in Wisconsin open to the public the only trail i have really been able to find is the pipeline but other than that not much. i live just outside of milwakee so southern trails would be nice

Sorry, no 4WD trails in Southern WI

From Milwaukee you have options though.
The Pipeline (you found that).
McCaslin Mt. (Campground near the Pipeline). In Fact, the W4WDA will be having Spring Fling at McCaslin the first weekend of May- More info at www.W4WDA.org
The Cliffs Insane Terrain Park (Near Ottowa, IL- actually it's Marsellis or some darn french name )
The Badlands, Attica, IN.

Other than that, the National Forests and the Forested Counties in Northern WI will allow truck on forest roads. (makes for a scenic drive, but not anything remotely difficult)
Apple Valley Farms/RPM4X4 -www.rpm4x4.com is a cool place.
Dresser has an event put on my the MN4WDA on memorial day.

WOHVA will be putting on a convention this spring, and they are planning on having a trail ride near Wabeno. More info at www.WOHVA.com . Read the Blog and also see the Forum for more info on their convention.

Also, I suggest you join a local club to maximize your enjoyment of the recreation, and to meet local off-roaders. Sometimes they know of little snipet or private trails in the area.

Like I said in my picture post, send me a pm whenever you want to go. I usually have time to go wheeling locally on the weekends if my junk is working good.
Right now, I won't be ready till Memorial weekend. A group of us with all kinds of trucks and jeeps camp on the Pipeline for the weekend. If you want to show up here them let me know.
Come and wheel with some of us from the midwest chapter at Carnagefest in August and get to know us. Sit a campfire or two.
