I live out in swanton which is 20miles south of Toledo and there is no where to go 4wheeling. My buddy is in cahoots with wiley he is an owner of wiley co dirt and landfill and we go and play out there and play which is okay everyonce in a while. There are road closed,(dirt road for hunting) which u can get fined and towed if just driving through it. Another guy i know has a mud pit which is okay. But i want so damn trails not just places where i drive in circles all the time. Anyone in ohio near me or in northwest ohio know of any places locally?

I'm in Toledo, and trust me, there is nothing legal around. The Mounds, in Mount Morris (basically Flint), Michigan is the closest.

wellsville is questionable somtimes. too many land owners. we have Painted Rock down south. check out www.offroadohio.com good site a few naxja members alot of jeeps good bunch of dudes

Im in Henry co, and the closest thing i found to a trail was a dirt road, there are some nice places with trails but all private property, my dad says theres some nice trails back where an armory for the ONG used to be that they drove the APCs on but someone bought the land and they trails are problay all overgrown but im going to check it out when it gets warmer

its right next to the golf course ill just say im lookin for some golf balls and im sure theyll care their is no houses or anything back there its just all trees

Wrong answer. Ask for permission.

dont do that just ask! if you dont and get caught it will give the rest of use respectful ohioians a bad name and we have enough of that here thats the reason we dont have any public trails and few privite trails

ive been back there before and i think the city might own half of it and as for the rest i have no idea, plus ive seen people walkin back there all the time lookin for golf balls

you do understand what everybody is trying to tell you though right!? i think i can speak for everybody when i say...... trespassing is a big NO NO around here, we don't promote it nor do we like when people do it. it gives the offroad community a bad name!

Yeah i know what everybody is sayin, i wont go where thier are no trespassing signs or anything like that and ill probally only go about 100 feet or so off the course and from what ive seen its not that big, so its probally not even worth it. And when i said someone bought the land i ment the city. Plus theres some better looking places to look at anyway and i will get premission from them

it doesnt matter if there are signs or not or whos land it is if its not your land or you dont have permission or legal right to be there then dont its still trespassing if you MUST and wont listen to us atleast park you rig somewhere else and walk this is the reason there are not any public trails in ohio and until people learn what TREAD LIGHTLY means we wont have trail to ride on anywhere

I never said i was going to drive down there, i wanted to walk through and look for golf balls, and how come the old people who always go there and look for them never get caught for trespassing, and the woods are owned by the golf course so nobody builds down there
